Getting Paid for Zoom Meetings
How To Get Paid When Using Zoom
Live sessions are a great way to promote your courses and you must follow the instructions here to get Royalty Credit for your live meetings. In other words, if you don't follow these specific requirements, you will not receive a financial payment for your Live Lessons or Live Workshops.
Here are the minimum requirements to get paid for your Live Lessons:
- You must have a Zoom Pro account to get paid for hosting your meetings. You can view the Zoom Plans and Pricing here: https://zoom.us/pricing. Zoom Pro account pricing is currently listed at $14.99 / month.
- Live Zoom Meetings must be added to a course (new or existing courses) and the course must be published (not draft courses) for members to access the live meeting links.
- Live lessons can be added to an existing course by clicking Edit Course from the My Courses section. Be sure to click Publish after adding the Live Meeting to an existing course. Learn how to first configure Zoom with your account here: Configure Zoom
- Members (attendees) must either enter their Zoom email address under Settings or use their same email address with their Zoom account that was used to sign up with Invested Pro. We encourage attendees to do so, but we cannot guarantee it. If a member uses a different email address, it will not be tracked by us and therefore their time will not be counted in the Royalty program for that single Zoom session. That's also why it's important to upload the recorded lesson to Invested Pro as soon as it's completed. That way it can be accessed by all members and they can begin viewing it.
- After your live lessons, the attendees time will show up in your Earnings section on the report tab. Please allow 24 hours for all information to appear.
There are also several other general factors that determine if you will receive payments for your courses. You can learn more about how payments for instructors are determined here: Instructor Royalty Payments
If you only have a Basic Zoom account and you wish to stay on the Basic account, you may also use Live Zoom sessions as a way to promote your courses on Invested Pro by holding a live Q&A session or quick training. Or, simply record your Zoom meeting and when you are done with the meeting, upload the recording to one of your course lessons. Then you will receive credit for anyone that watches the pre-recorded lesson going forward.
Recommendations To Receive Continued Credit
As already mentioned, we highly recommend recording the meeting. Once the meeting has concluded, upload the meeting to one of your course lessons for other members to watch it. You will continue to receive credit going forward for anyone that watches the lesson on the Invested Pro platform.
If the content of the lesson is no longer applicable and members on that lesson begin to drop off, then you may wish to remove the lesson from your course. The meeting may only be relevant for a short amount of time if it's based on a short-term or current market activity or strategies. This is most likely the case if you are an instructor for the Weekly Market Intelligent plan.
Connecting Your Zoom Account
With your Zoom Pro account connected to Invested Pro, we are able access the meeting information posted on Invested Pro by you (the Instructor) from the Zoom public API to collect the necessary data to assist with calculating instructor payments each month.
