Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel my account

Change Plan

To change your plan, navigate to the Account section by hovering over your profile photo on the top right of the screen and selecting Account from the menu. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your account from here.

Upgrade

If you choose to upgrade your account, the following will occur:

  • You will be charged the prorated difference today between the new plan and the plan you are currently on 
  • Your renewal date will be pushed out to match your upgrade date 
  • At your next renewal date, your account will renew at your new Plan level and price for this new plan
  • Upon renewal, you will be able to access courses and content on the new plan level immediately

If you are currently on a free trial and you decide to upgrade your account, the charges for the new plan will be incurred immediately upon upgrading and that will be the end of your free trial period.

Downgrade

If you choose to downgrade your account, the following will occur:

  • You will lose access to courses on your current plan and immediately be moved to your new plan

    • Depending on the remaining term of your current plan, you may receive credits to your account when downgrading
    • There are no refunds when downgrading, only credits up to the max amount of the new plan level
  • Your renewal date will be updated for the new plan
  • At your next renewal date, your account will renew at your new Plan level and at the current price for this new plan

If you are currently on a free trial and you decide to downgrade your account, the charges for the new plan will be incurred immediately upon downgrading and that will be the end of your free trial period.

Cancel

If you choose to cancel your account, the following will occur:

  • You will keep your account and access to all the courses on your plan until the next renewal date

    • There are no credits, refunds (outside of the refund policy), or partial refunds for unused months or early cancellation
  • You will not be charged again
  • Your account will not renew and you will lose access to all courses at your next renewal date

If you cancel your account during a free trial period, you will not be charged.

Update Payment Method

If you need to update your payment method at anytime, you can do so from your account section. If your card expires and your renewal payment fails, you will also receive an email notice from us to update your credit card. Additionally, our payment processor (Stripe or PayPal) will attempt to charge your card again after a couple of days of a failed payment. 

If we are unable to process a payment, the following will occur:

  • The status of your account will be changed to expired. You will need to click on "Renew Your Membership" from your account section. Your access and current progress will be restored as long as the new plan allows access to the same courses. However, you must re-enroll in each course for your progress to restore.
  • You will no longer be able to access any of the courses until a payment is made. Once a payment is processed, your account will be reactivated and the renewal date will be updated to reflect the new payment date.

Note that all payments are processed through PayPal or Stripe. We do not currently offer payments via checks or invoices.
