Forums - Getting Started

To get started using the Traders Exchange forums, simply ask your first question. Click on a topic and post your question: 

You must enter a tile for your question. Be specific, but not overly detailed in the title. Use the body of the message to write out your question in detail.

New Users

If you are new to the forums and just posted your first question or comment, you will get an awaiting moderation notice and your post will say [Unapproved] next to it. After your first few posts on the forums, you will no longer have to wait for it to get approved. However, please allow several hours for your message to get approved when you are new. Our staff reviews all new posts as soon as possible. 

Once your question has been approved, it will automatically get posted. At that point, both members and instructors are able to comment on it. 

Answers vs Comments

Replies are intended to be used for answering the question that was asked. However, you also have an option to add a comment to a question. Comments are typically used to get clarification or add notes or thoughts on a question. 

When using comments, you can directly comment to one person using @username to make the conversation easier to follow. 

Save Draft

You have the option to save a draft of your question, reply, or comment at anytime. It is recommended to regularly save, especially when typing longer messages so that you don't lose it. 

Edit Messages

To update your message or remove it from the forums, click on the edit or delete option on the bottom right side of your post.
