Setting up your Instructor Profile
To setup your instructor Profile, including your bio, navigate to your account Settings -> Profile tab here: Instructor Profile
Write Your Bio
The Instructor Bio is your own page to showcase your background, skills, and expertise. The bio is a way to highlight your expertise as it relates to Investing and Day Trading. This page will become your public profile and the Bio is also listed on each one of your courses.
The Instructor bio is where you can begin to establish your credibility and a good bio will help get more member enrollments in your courses.
Profile Best Practices
Here are some best practices when setting up your profile:
- Keep your bio short and concise
- Highlight your credentials as it relates to your courses
- Upload a high pixel quality, clear avatar photo of yourself (that is not animated)
- Add links to your website and connect your social accounts in the designated link section
- Refrain from adding any other links in your bio section unless they are relevant. If you do, be sure to follow the course guidelines.
- Select a display name, which is used on your courses, when interacting with members, and on message boards.
- It is important that you use your first and last name, since this is the most professional option and will allow you to quickly build your reputation and easily market your courses.
- If your courses are with other instructors or part of a company, then you may include your brand / company name
- Must follow our guidelines at all times, including the links and display name requirements. You can learn more about the guidelines here: Profile Guidelines
Adding Links
The designated link section is at the bottom of the settings page:
Your public profile includes your bio, all of your published courses, and all member ratings on each of your courses.
Timezone Settings
Under your Profile Settings, you will also find a dropdown for Timezone. Setting your correct timezone is important for hosting live Zoom lessons. Invested Pro will display your upcoming Zoom meetings based on the timezone you selected here and the timezone used for your meeting. So you don't miss your live lessons, be sure to set it based on the Timezone you will be using to manage your schedule.
Hide Sections
You may remove some sections from the menu if you do not use them. Go to Settings -> Sections and check the ones you wish to hide. After you check them, click update and refresh the page. The sections will be removed after you have refreshed the page.
