Creating Course Quizzes

Using the Quiz Builder

Quizzes are an important learning tool for both practical and academic courses. It allows the student to recall important subjects, apply critical thinking to the subject at hand, and challenge them to really understand the topic. Make sure the quiz is highly relevant to the course lessons the member has just finished and the difficulty level matches your course teachings.

After adding a lesson topic, you will see an option for creating a quiz related to that lesson topic.

When a member views your course, your quiz will show up in the course viewer within your lessons (based on the order you set in the course builder).

There are several settings to customize and structure the quiz to your likely. Once you open the quiz builder, here are the steps to add your quiz questions:

  1. Give your quiz a title a brief summary of what it covers. Then you must click save and next.
  2. Click the plus button to add a question. Then follow the prompts
    1. Write the question
    2. Select a question type and fill in the question details based on the quiz question you select
    3. You can either require an answer or let the member skip it
    4. For scoring, give the question a weight
  3. Create as many questions (and types of questions) as you wish for the lesson. Then click next.
  4. Choose the settings and layout for your quiz. This will determine how the quiz is displayed for the members.

Member Quiz Submittal

All student quizzes are submitted to your Dashboard under the Quiz Attempts section. Depending on your email notification settings, you will also receive an email when a member submits a quiz. The quiz score is automatically calculated based on the results.

There is an area for you to provide feedback to each member of your course at your discretion. However, your feedback will help them learn from their mistakes and understand the materials better. You will be able to see the detailed quiz results from each member and provide your feedback at the bottom of the results page.
