Creating Course Assignments

Using the Assignment Builder

Assignments are there for you to help members start learning the content at a deeper level. This is where you can create projects or questions that assist them with the course learning objectives.

After adding a lesson topic, you will see an option for creating an assignment related to that lesson topic.

When a member views your course, your assignment will show up in the course viewer within your lessons (based on the order you set in the course builder).

When you open up the Assignment module, you will see several custom options for your assignment. Below are the steps to start creating your course assignment.

  1. Name the assignment in the title box
  2. In the text box below the assignment title, write the assignment instructions and questions
    1. If you'd rather share a file with the instructions and questions, use the attachment option below the text box
  3. Next,  set a time limit for the assignment to keep member engagement higher. Just input 0 for no time limit.
  4. Set the total points and a passing grade for the assignment.
  5. Set the number of files you need to receive from each enrollee. If your assignment is only questions, then they will be submitting them through the course viewer forms and therefore will not need to submit any files.
    1. Set the receiving file size. We recommend leaving at 2MB maximum and we have a max limit set at 5MB.

Assignment Submissions

All assignments are submitted to your Dashboard under the Assignments section. Depending on your email notification settings, you will also receive an email when a member submits an assignment. To review submissions and add a response, follow these steps:

  1. Hover over your photo on the top right of the screen and navigate to the Assignments Section
  2. Use the Sort / Filter options to find the course assignment submission you wish to review
  3. Based on the responses, provide a grade and any comments about the submission
