Modifications and changes to your courses

Guidelines for Modifying Your Courses

Once you publish your course on Invested Pro, it will immediately become available to members on the platform. It's important to review the course in it's entirety, including all video lessons uploaded, before clicking publish. That way you are able to confirm that it meets the course guideline requirements

Since you will be receiving ongoing feedback and rating from members, you may wish to make course updates to improve the course performance and ratings. However, keep in mind that members may be in the midst of watching a lesson and going through the current curriculum. Therefore, it is highly recommended to make incremental updates to your courses; such as updating a video lesson that is similar to the current video lesson, but with new content or quality enhancements. It is best to make small changes over time or it may negatively effect your ratings.

Allowed Course Changes

After your course has been published you may still make edits to the course, however, those edits should be limited to the following changes and should not be made frequently:

  • Only add or remove a course Tags if the current tag(s) are not highly relevant
  • Change the course difficulty level if you get feedback that it's too easy or hard for the currently chosen difficulty level
  • Replace your course intro video anytime to attract more members
  • Change the course cover image. Do this sparingly so it doesn't confuse members. Members may already have your course in their Learning Paths or Wishlist and recognize the cover image.
  • If you have improved a video lesson, it is recommended that you remove the old one and replace it with the improved video. However, anyone currently watching the video will lose access to it.
  • Update or replace quizzes and assignments based on member feedback
  • Add or remove a course lesson
  • If your course is assigned to the Weekly Market Intelligence categories, you should be adding frequent video lessons based on the current financial market conditions.

Disallowed Course Changes

When your course is live, you should not make the following changes when editing the course:

  • DO NOT change the course title. This will change the course URL and alter the current search indexing on your course. Therefore, you may lose viewership and it may negatively impact your Royalty Payments.
  • DO NOT change the course categories. This will effect who has access to the course as well as how it is found in the search page. This may also kick out currently enrolled members if they no longer have access to the plan level based on the new category.
  • DO NOT change the course prerequisites. This will effect who has access to the course. This may also kick out currently enrolled members.
