Course Structure

When using the course builder, click the save button frequently to make sure you don't lose any changes.

Course Content

Be sure to read through the course guidelines as it pertains to the Course Title and other sections below to guide you through the proper way to create your course. It is required to include an Intro Video on your course and this will also make it stand out more.

Course Title

The course title is critical for the search index and is also the unique URL that your course is assigned to. Therefore, all course titles must be unique. It will show available in green above the course title as shown here if that title has not been used before.

Course Description

The course description must be at least 200 words AND all content sections must be filled out in detail. This is your opportunity to entice more members to sign up - provide a thorough overview of what your course is all about and the skills the members will learn from enrolling in your class.

Benefits

Outline the benefits of your course (one per line) to encourage members to sign up. What are the top 5-10 critical skills or take-aways from your course? Specifically, what are the main learning objectives from your lessons?

Requirements

Are there additional requirement needed in order to take this course. You may want to consider selecting a prerequisite course for a technical requirement or simply mentioning it here (since some members may already have that skill and you won't want to keep them out of your course). For example, is there a programming language or knowledge of specific market principles that are needed first.

If there are no special requirements, simply say that there are no special requirements needed to take your course.

Audience

Who is the ideal target audience for your course? List out who would benefit the most in terms of experience level, type of investor / trader (retirement investor, growth investor, day trader, scalper, swing trader, position trader, etc.), type of learner (analytical / technical, macro thinker, etc.), fast paced learning, etc.

Materials

This is an excellent way for members to get a quick snapshot of your course. Listing 5-6 items here is more than enough (keep it simple and brief). A good example would be:

  • 10.5 Hours of On-Demand Video Lessons
  • 3 Downloadable Resources
  • 2 New Day Trading Strategies
  • 1 Assignment and 1 Quiz
  • 1 Group Workshop

Categories and Tags

Assign your course to a plan level by selecting the correct categories for your class. Then choose 2-3 tags for members to easily find your course.

Create Your Lessons

Under the course builder heading section, add the first topic for your course. Add all of your course lessons here by creating new topics, new lessons, new quizzes and assignments.

Drag and Drop Course Builder

After adding your topics, lessons, quizzes, and assignments, you have the ability to alter the order of them using the drag and drop feature. By clicking on the arrows next to each item, you are able to order them how you like.  The following list of features are available and will show in the course viewer based on the order you choose:

  • View all items on a topic by clicking on the far right arrow of the topic row
  • Drag and Drop topics, lessons, quizzes, and assignments
  • Edit items by clicking on the pencil on the right of each row
  • Remove items by clicking on the trash can on the right of each row
